ATARACTIC

today i woke up at 9am to work at crescent golf range, where i’ve basically been a fill-in cashier since i was old enough to count. it’s a cushy job because i get to use the internet and watch cable tv in a fairly comfortable space. i can also order food from wherever i like and pay for it out of the register (at least, i think i can). the customer flow is never busy during the early part of the day. just the regulars. so today i was hoping to get started on writing that really professional sounding letter (like an abstract) for sending to different contacts that i would need to establish before writing my book. my intentions are to a) let them know that i’m going to be writing a book about something that concerns them, b) ask if they mind, c) ask if they would be willing to offer assistance in the way of interviews, and d) recommend other people i should get in touch with.

it’s all in my head i just have to get it out on paper. other than that, i have nothing really important to write today, i’ve been resting my bones and playing guitar and singing new melodies. one of these days i’ll have to make a concerted effort to put a musical project together or these songs are going to go to waste. i can’t very well be a solo performer, i’m not talented enough. i need other people to drown me out.

the epitome of a lazy day:
