Don Delillo writes in White Noise, “Nostalgia is a product of dissatisfaction and rage. It’s a settling of grievances between the present and the past.” I was clicking around on the horseless information box (that’s a computer, in modern lingo) last night, and I came across some hilarious photographs and sound/video files from the early days of this endless summer. There was a span of days in early June when musical creativity was at the forefront of my thought process. Of course, partaking in the art of noise goes hand in hand with various other forms of experimentation. These snapshots, video and audio from one memorable evening are tiny morsels that hint at greatness, but mostly they portend the total obliteration of our senses.
