Top Ten Inspiring YouTube Videos

I don’t want to waste your time. Instead, I will quickly proceed to the weekly Top Ten list. These are the videos I watch when I’m seeking motivation. Like a Red Bull or a bump of speed, one of these clips is virtual shot in the arm that I know can help get me through my day.

Top Ten Inspiring YouTube Videos:

10) Giant Centipede eating a mouse – This one kind of freaked me out at first, and I almost threw up my breakfast bagel. Now I think it’s grossly fascinating. Like a cute girl who’s also an amputee.
9) Tom Waits – Live performance and interview from the ’70s where Tom is speeding out of his mind and freaking out the other guests.
8) How a Vinyl Record is Made PART ONE – Self-explanatory
7) How a Vinyl Record is Made PART TWO – Also self-explanatory
6) WWDYD? – Footage of David Yow getting hit in the head with a beer bottle during a Jesus Lizard show in Dallas.
5) Leonard Cohen “The Stranger Song” – Wow. That’s about all I can say about it.
4) “Heartworn Highway” – Moving video of Townes Van Zandt playing “Waitin’ Around to Die.”
3) Sly Stone Dick Cavett – An infamous interview with Sly completed loaded on cocaine.
2) Pornstar Girl Fight – Sam sent me this at work one day and it blew my mind. I must have watched it fifteen times in row. Girl fights are way harder to stomach than regular old drunk dudes throwing down.
1) ’86 World Series in RBI Baseball Finally, someone who’s a bigger nerd than I am actually cut together footage of a Nintendo game that follows the exact course of the infamous Game 6 in the 1986 World Series.

Last night I met Dan in the city at his apartment and we, along with a few friends, went over to The Ginger Man for drinks. As soon as I walked in, I was approached by a girl who said, “Hello Evan.” I of course did not recognize her. I tried my hardest not to admit this, and when she said, “We graduated from LHS together” I pretty much knew I was fucked. I had a friend ask her first name while I was conveniently in the bathroom, and once I remembered the last name we were both happy and the rest of the evening went rather smoothly. I got home at about 4 or 5, totally sloshed. Today I went down to New Brunswick and took Meredith to Wegman’s. I don’t know what’s happening tonight.
