My Own Ashlee Simpson Show

…And we’ve come full circle. A great sage once wrote… “Oft times, a man—” Actually, come to think of it, I don’t remember that quote—or any quotes for that matter.

Without going into too much detail, I’ll just say that I was awake to see the sunrise this morning. I spent the early morning hours clicking across the Internet, when I suddenly stumbled onto my own website (I think it was linked from a child porn website!). As I browsed my archives, I noticed a severe drop-off in the quality of entries. There really hasn’t been any stimulating discourse in recent months. I guess everyone is susceptible to laziness at times—writers, or painters, or even Santa Claus (but not the Tooth Fairy)—it’s very easy to lose one’s focus. I’m pretty sure my lack of blogging fortitude can be directly attributed to my being busy with other affairs (mostly involving housewives), but that shouldn’t be an excuse for bringing down the quality of my writing here.

So, this is a wake-up call. I need to get back to my Communications Major roots and start rallying against the media—like the old days. Sure, no one cared for my analysis of The Ashlee Simpson show, or the Metallica documentary when I was preaching to an audience of ten (not to be confused with the short-lived party of five spin-off of same name), but I’m reaching, like, 1000% more people than that each week! Surely someone out there will be intrigued by what I have to say.

And, if they’re not, I can always go back to posting pictures of the ugliest girls on MySpace.
By the way, is “full-circle” a bit redundant? Has anything ever come half-circle?
