Words Form Sentences!

Friday means a new and funny Friday Top Ten. Well, except for today. I have to make an airport run and then drive down to Bridgewater to pick up a violin. Despite this sad news, I’ve decided not to leave you empty handed. Here are some new (as in, less than 24-hours old) Obscure Reference outtakes. Feel free to grab your favorite tortoise shell librarian glasses and listen in. For the most part:

Z plays guitar Left-Channel
I play guitar Right-Channel and whisper words
Podcast Jack plays bass
Ken plays with little girls, but also drums

We used a lot of microphones, and everything sounds really huge (especially the drums), but I just don’t think it’s brutal enough.

Notes: On track number three, we started making a bunch of noise, then everyone went outside and I stayed downstairs building up a long loop, and eventually the other three joined in. It sounds nice, but it’s really long (edited down from 35 minutes), so I won’t post it. On track number seven, some of my lovely made up lyrics include, “domino rally / circ de soliel / breakfast cereals / never-ending tennis match / frightfully unaware / star trek deep space nine / smothering campfire / little baby veal.” TS Eliot, I amn’t.

1) Heart (*)
2) Bleeding All Over the Map (*)
3) Gone to Play
4) Notes, and Lots of ‘Em
5) Under the Caspian C (z: drums, e: guitar, j: bass, k: percussion)
6) Technical Psych-Out
7) At A Dynamite Bake Sale (*)

(*) = sucks.
