I was brushing my teeth last night at about 1:00am, and as I studied my visage in the mirror, i felt the floor beneath me quiver. The shower door, toilet and mirror began to rattle. This lasted for maybe five or six seconds. It was a “light earthquake” according to the official government website that charts seismic activity across the nation. Noticeably different from the “microearthquakes” that occur daily in Los Angeles (here’s this week’s list), this one could actually be felt. It occurred a few miles north-northwest of Chatsworth, had a magnitude of 4.5, and a depth of 3.4 miles. I have no idea what any of that means, but it sure felt cool.
…And I’m off to San Francisco. Hopefully there won’t be a missed update tomorrow or Saturday, but if there is, you’ll just have to deal with it. You can rest easy knowing that I’m there performing God’s will: eating a mission burrito and shopping at Aquarius.
