"If black metal is about sounding as brutal and huge as possible, it might benefit your band to actually utilize the instrument most responsible for sounding massive."

black metal, especially some of the stuff more than a few years old, seems to be all about terrible mixes and a shitty sound, as if a lone microphone was placed inside of a metal pipe to record the instruments, and the singer later growled directly to tape.

that is to say, a huge sound (like a billy anderson or boston record) is not typical.

Radicalness! I thought you'd like this one the best of the three, but I was wrong.

I guess my initial impetus in exposing you to these records (other than sharing some kickass black metal terrors) was to see if the (admittedly stereotypical) self-loathing tendencies of Der Juden could be triggered by a music that expressed such sentiments, creating a sort of Dan Burros feedback loop. Maybe I tried too hard.

Anyhoo, hail Satan!
