Much like Nick Garrie record I posted the other day, I was very happy to find a copy of the Whitehouse 12″ single for “Wriggle Like A Fucking Eel” at the WFMU Record Fair this year. I’d seen it for sale at Princeton Record Exchange in ’05 for the paltry sum of $30. To find it at WFMU for half that price made me quite happy. Why? Because Whitehouse is unlistenable noise and I love unlistenable noise. Bird Seed is one of the band’s more recent albums (2003), and tracks like “Wriggle Like A Fucking Eel” and “Why You Never Became A Dancer” harken back to the bands glory days, and albums like Total Sex and Ultrasadism.
If you love shit that gives you a headache after thirty seconds, than look no further. You’ve found your new favorite album of the month!

Wriggle Like a Fucking Eel is a brutish track, this may be my favorite Whitehouse record since Great White Death. Kudos!

Cool album. But why are you telling us about the single and posting the lp? Is the single the same track? Same cover? Whatevs..

It’s the same track, similar cover. I wouldn’t post the single because it’s just two faces of a record, different versions of the same song. That would be boring! So I posted the album because it gives a better idea of what Whitehouse is all about.
