I got my first-ever text from my mother about a month ago when she was visiting. I told her I'd be coming home later than expected and she wrote back "Ok". I was so proud of her! I'm going to make sure my boyfriend reads this. He hates the Swedish too (although he most likely does not share your hatred of female IKEA employees in Burbank). Two things:
