First off, I cannot believe that so many girls didn’t know who The Smiths are. I am a huge fan and although, I was not around when The Smiths were together, I have seem Moz in concert 8 times. I heard about this event and was interested because I would like to find my own Charming Man. However since I missed it, I will have to keep living as Half a Person…I know you would like me if only you could see me, if only you could meet me.

I only wish I had known about this. I would never speeddate BUT I absolutely adore the Smiths. They are one of the greatest bands ever. And, yes, I did try to get Morrissey tickets. And lastly, yes, I am of the female persuasion.

I tried to not be judgmental like you, but I can’t help it i have to say it, you’re a bitch. I have to admit I do not in my possession have a Smith’s album however, I like Morrissey and I have recently been listening to whatever random songs I have that someone gave me of his and it makes me want to go and buy an actual Smith album. I have a broken heart and I want to wallow in it and if i fucking want to listen to the Smiths I fucking will. Thanks for the story jon, made me laugh needed that, clearly since i’m reading a blog on nerve waiting for my tylinol pm to kick in. If I had known about the speed dating in Greenpoint I might have gone just cause I live in Williamsburg and it would have been a nice walk along the water to go meet some potentially interesting and nice people that want to wallow in sad music and enjoy the hell out it while drinking booze and pretending to socialize. because good music is sad and good music is happy and good music just makes you want to feel again. live again. I might have gone since i’ve been listening to so much untitled (unknown) morrisey off of my playlist so that I could ask what smith’s record i should invest in. or so that i could have left the crazy speed dating to go listen to some smith with someone nice. i wish people still sat around and just listened to music. music is the only thing that gets you through heartbreak so fuck you z and good for you jon.

Knowing Jon personally, your off the cuff dim-witted snap judgment is – well – wrong.

I’m surprised you haven’t raped/been raped already – although your fantasy does sound like a nostalgic trip down memory lane of some glorious penal institution you once frequented.
