Bound For Glory

By Evan ~ September 28th, 2009. Filed under: daily life.

I’m leaving tomorrow morning to fly to the South to visit Nicci and see the opening night of her play. To say that I am anxious would be an understatement. I have not seen her in three weeks, so I hope she still remembers what I look like, I hope she remembers that we’re madly in love, and I hope that she does an amazing job in the first big role she’s had in a long time. I’ll try my best to find Internet cafes during the day when she is rehearsing so that I can share pictures and words from the road. I’ve been told that when traveling in the south, it is important to dress like a member of the KKK at all times so as to hide one’s “Jew horns” from the locals. If I’m taken captive by a local white supremacy group, I’ll just direct them to my blog entry from the other day, remind them that I’m (apparently) a huge fan of inbreeding, and maybe survive to see my girlfriend act her heart out on stage. I’ll be back in sunny (but starting to get colder) California on Friday. I think. This trip is so brief, was so quickly booked, and will be so hectic I’d be surprised if I actually see Nicci while I’m there to see Nicci.

So, wish me safe travels and hopefully you’ll hear from me tomorrow.
