Flat Conner Has Been Kidnapped

I don’t know what the fuck I’m going to do. I never should have let the kid out of my sight yesterday. I should have gone out with him. My negligence has put the life of an awesome 2nd grader in jeopardy. Fuck.

I received this note just before I left work. One of my coworkers walked it back to me saying that someone from “a courier service” dropped it off and asked that it be delivered to me. I rushed to look at our security tapes but the person who left the note was wearing a Dodgers hat and never looked up at our camera near the store’s entrance.

I’m going to head over to The Strip and see if I can’t talk to some people. I know I should probably alert the authorities, but it doesn’t exactly look good that I let a 7-year-old kid go out partying in Hollywood unsupervised last night. I think I’m going to have to do this on my own. When he called me last night he said he was leaving Saddle Ranch and going somewhere “off the strip.” That could be anywhere. I’m going to hope that someone who works there knows if Conner left with anyone last night. Oh fucking fuck. What the hell am I going to do!? He’s supposed to be on a plane to fucking Vermont tomorrow. Jesus Christ. Shit. Fuck. I…I can’t sit here and blog right now. I have to go. Fuck. What is Mrs. Peterson — Flat Conner’s 2nd grade teacher — going to say when she finds out? He’s supposed to be back in Greenville before classes end on June 1st! SHIT!
