Feeling Those Day-After Effects

To say that last night’s filming was a success would be…well, it would be an out-and-out lie. I can’t share all the uproarious details with you, but my performance left everybody involved in the production convinced that this silly little project of ours is going to be an Internet smash, and that I might become a YouTube sensation. All of this, and I never actually made it to the set. You’ll understand what I mean soon enough.

By the way I’d like to offer my sincerest apologies — and heartfelt thanks –to Kristin and Jennifer, the attending nurses who aided me late last night. I hope I didn’t give you too much trouble. I just wish I could remember if I said anything uncouth.

You’re probably all wondering, “What the hell!?” right now. And you’d be right to think that. But, as I just stated, all will be revealed in time.

It’s been a long, long day for me, so I’m going to cut this short today and come back tomorrow feeling refreshed and anxious to post. Until then, check out the newest track from one of my favorite modern bands, White Hills. They’ve got another — yes, another! — new release coming out on Thrill Jockey next month. It’s called Frying On This Rock, and the CD and vinyl pre-order started this afternoon. The LP (which I already ordered, of course) is presented in an old-style top-on jacket with a limited number of copies pressed on half pink, half white vinyl. Pretty cool stuff. I know a lot of you are fans of White Hills, so you’ll want to order this LP as soon as possible. Check out the track:
