July 11-12, 2005 Cincinnati
| I started early from New Jersey, stopping first in a town called Susquehanna to have lunch. From my vantage point, the highway seemed to go on forever to the West. | |
| Tunnels in Pennsylvania with names like Blue Mountain... | |
| ...and Kittatiny help break up that state's ridiculously boring landscape. Yeah...trees... I got it the first time. | |
| Before I knew it I had passed through the entire state, and was about to drive a rough eight miles of terrain through the northern tip of West Virginia. | |
| Having seen the motion picture event known as "Wrong Turn," I knew damn sure not to make any stops in West Virginia. So I plowed straight through to Ohio. | |
| I've never claimed to have the most refined palette, so I was fine eating my first dinner on the road at the original Wendy's in Columbus. | |
| But check it out, the mean streets of Columbus didn't really want me invading their turf, so I got stuck for about an hour with this stud in my rear tire. Luckily I pulled into a gas station and befriended an ex-security guard and truck driver who helped me through this potential disaster. I made it to Cincy late at night, you can read all about it here. |
