July 31- August 1, 2005 San Diego

I left for San Diego at 2:00pm.
Gliding through the Sonora Desert.
Barren lands surround.
The temperature in Yuma, Arizona.
This was so weird. A few miles after I entered California (and faced a rigorous inquisition at the state border), I suddenly found myself surrounded by sand dunes. Like, real sand. Total desert.
Surreal.
Speechless. Awestruck. Choose your adjective.
Driving parallel to the US / Mexico border in southern California.
I am a nerd, with no shame.
Devil's Canyon.
Devil's Canyon 2: Canyon Harder.

Once I got to San Diego, I got rip roaringly drunk. If you can imagine that.
