Stay At Home: Day 28

Hey, Y’all! Lots of new and exciting things to report!

Ha. Ha. Just kidding.

When last I posted, I was awaiting some deliveries of fresh libations and “personal protective equipment” in the form of masks I could wear while running through the streets of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. The beer arrived still-cold from Sante Adarius, which was nice. I’ve tried both of the double IPAs so far, and they’re quite good. I haven’t tried the dark lager yet, but I’m making burgers tonight so I’ll be sure to try one and report back how it tastes. You can follow my “Safer At Home” drinking habits on Untappd if you so desire. The masks also arrived, and while one of them definitely isn’t made for warm weather running, the other two seem to be adequate enough.

I guess this is what I look like when I run now? An angry man whose last haircut was in late January? Great. At least I don’t have to worry about being sexually assaulted on any of my morning exercise excursions. The earbuds, by the way, are Jaybird Vistas, and I absolutely love them. I can’t believe I ever used actual headphones with a cable or cord or whatever to connect to my listening device.

Dinner Tuesday night was penne with mushrooms, chicken apple sausage, and a sauce made of butternut squash. Naturally, I Had to top mine with an abundance of crushed red pepper and fresh shredded parm. On Wednesday, I used the last of the ground beef from our most recent Butcher Box to make nachos, which were topped not only with beef but with black beans, red onion, tomato, shredded cheddar, avocado, and topped with salsa, hot sauce, and cotija. Tonight is burger night, and I think I’m topping them with heirloom tomato, an egg, and cheese. Why not? We got another produce box today and are receiving our next Butcher box tomorrow…I think.

Okay. That’s it for today. I have nothing else to report right now. I will try to post a mixtape tomorrow for you.

Ciao! Stay healthy and stay safe.
