Sunday Mix Tape Number 327

Ah, Sunday. The end of the week. The end of the week…end. What’d you guys do? Me, I stayed in on Friday to do some extracurricular work for my boss. Saturday I went to the Oktoberfest celebration in Montrose. I didn’t get to drink nearly enough (I was DD), but afterwards we wound up at Blue Palms in Hollywood. I love that place. They’re the only bar I know of in LA that currently has the new Game of Thrones/Ommegang beer “Take The Black” stout on draught. It was pretty good!

The Todd record continues to sell through various channels and I’ve been happily seeing orders via Discogs, eBay and retail stores across LA (other locales coming soon, I promise). I just shipped an order to France this morning, actually. I’m trying to get some boxes to a distributor overseas, as I know shipping is exorbitant for those of you in Europe and Asia who want a copy but don’t want to pay $19 to ship a $13 record. I’m working on it, I promise! There have been a couple more digital and physical sales through the new Swan Fungus Bandcamp page as well, which is nice to see. If you haven’t already, you should pick up a copy of the record. Support Todd, support this website, and grab a unique (and limited!) “real people” music artifact while you’re at it.

That’s it for my now-customary pre-Sunday Mix Tape spiel. By the way, I’m totally caught up on shipping all orders and I’m doing my best to update each one with tracking info, so keep an eye out for those e-mails. As always, every LP mailer includes a free-hand attempt to recreate the official Swan Fungus logo. Which, honestly, is my favorite part of packing up all the boxes.

I’m such a fucking awful artist. I can’t draw for shit.

And now, mix tape:

RULES for uninitiated noobs: I give birth to a weekly Mix Tape to be deposited on your iPods or Zunes or Kingklangs or whatever the industry is currently pushing on you. Sometimes there will be themes that link all the songs together, other times I’ll just throw songs at a wall (not literally) and see what sticks. This week is all about the changing seasons and the transition from Summer to Autumn. Can you feel it? I can. Just kidding. I don’t have feelings! The goal of this endeavor, as always, is to pique your interest in these artists so you’ll support the artists and buy their albums.
