I am very pleased to announce that With Love…From Me To You, the 1979 album by Todd Wathen, is receiving a vinyl-only reissue 34 years after its initial release. The original “Treasures From The Collector’s Slum” post highlighting the record has been one of the most-visited pages on this blog since its publication in August of 2009. It’s been a surreal and rewarding experience to work with Todd on this project for the past 18 months. We’re both happy to be making this album available to the masses.
Re-mastered from an original analog source by Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters, and pressed in an edition of 500 copies by Rainbo Records, With Love…From Me To You is now available for purchase. The cover artwork has been recreated using an original slick which has been printed directly onto the jacket, resulting in a much higher-quality cover than the original hand-glued xeroxed version. In honor of the original self-produced, self-released run of 100 copies, the first 100 customers to order the reissue will receive hand-numbered clear-vinyl LPs.
All orders will receive clear vinyl LPs (unless you’d prefer black vinyl) until that supply is exhausted. Once they have sold out, the 400 black vinyl copies will be available. 10 of those black vinyl copies will randomly include hand-signed notes from Todd. The cost for US customers is $13 (PPD), and for international customers is $29. Orders within the state of California will be subject to an additional 9% sales tax charge. For those of you who do not own turntables but would like to either support Todd’s music and/or obtain a high-quality download of the album, there will be a digital copy of the album available via Bandcamp for $3.
