A former KFJC (89.7FM in Los Altos, CA) DJ passed this on to me recently, and at first I thought, “Oh, gee, thanks. You’re trying to relive your glory days as a radio DJ for some no-name station.” Then I saw the kinds of acts they had perform live on the air and my eyes immediately widened. Acid Mother’s Temple, Angel’in Heavy Syrup, Zeni Geva, Dirty Three, LADDIO BOLOCKO!? Okay, awesome. I needed to hear this. And, holy shit, it’s awesome. you guys are gonna dig this one.
There are several more iterations of this title, some of which include even crazier lineups. Volume 2 featured High Rise, Amber Asylum, Cul De Sac, Bardo Pond with Roy Montgomery, The Ex, and Mainliner. I know, right? We gotta get all these discs.
